Hotel St Moritz - Luxury hotel - BOIL WATER NOTICE

BOIL WATER NOTICE

Our local council has issued a Boil Water Notice as a precaution, following the discovery of multiple cases of Cryptosporidium in the town. As such, the hotel is following this advice and has modified all services using mains water to ensure guest safety.

Sterilized bottled water is available free of charge on request with commercially bottled water available for purchase. Please let us know if you are unwell or require assistance.

HOTEL ACTIONS FOR YOUR SAFETY

DRINKING WATER

All guests arriving receive one litre of commercially bottled mineral water complimentary, along with our ‘boil water’ notice.

We have dispensed with our usual room presentation, and have prepared a pre-boiled jug of water which can be used in the same way as the commercially bottled water provided.

Further, complimentary boiled bottled water is available from our Reception and Restaurant teams on request.

Our bottling process involves bottle sterilisation in our dishwasher.  They are then filled with clean water through our dual stage filtration system with UV protection. Restaurant drinking water service will offer either hotel-bottled water (free of charge) or commercially bottled water available for purchase.

DISH WASHING

Rooms – Please use cooled boiled water to wash your dishes.  Our housekeepers are happy to wash your dishes when they service your room each day, as they have established a safe housekeeping protocol for this.

Restaurant – Our commercial dishwasher is operating as normal and is at a high enough temperature to be effective against cryptosporidium.

BATHING & SHOWERING

It’s safe to bathe and shower as usual, however, avoid ingesting the water.

LOMBARDI RESTAURANT & BAR

Food preparation is undertaken strictly using uv treated water in accordance with health regulations;

Restaurant drinking water service will offer either hotel-bottled water (free of charge) or commercially bottled water available for purchase;

Ice is now made on site using uv treated water.

We have ceased using our ‘post mix’ machine for soft drinks. All soft drinks and mixers are in recyclable cans &/or bottles.
